You Only Get a Few Chances—Here’s How to Take Yours

From waking up in gray Russian apartments to building a life in the U.S.—10 years later, I’m sharing what I’d launch today, the 10 products to avoid, and 3 prompts to find what others can’t see.

🌅 Gratitude, Golf Courses & Guts

Sometimes we forget that the life we’re living today is the one we used to dream about.

I wake up every morning to a view of a golf course in sunny Florida, and it’s easy to take that view for granted.

But there was a time—back in Russia—when I’d wake up to a gray sky, stare out the window at a concrete playground boxed in by dark buildings, and wonder how the hell I’d ever get out.

This is the building of my childhood.

The other day, I looked out at my backyard and couldn’t believe this was all real.

About a year ago my uncle once told me: “You only get a few chances in life—and you took them all.” And I did. I still do.

Because nothing was ever given to me—not by the country I was born in, not by my parents.

In fact, my parents always said I had to go to university and get a job.

(Well, I have two master’s degrees and never used either.)

I started my first business at 17.

Later, when I applied to immigrate to Canada, that same uncle (back in 2009) — just back from living in Japan—said, “No one needs you there.”

I stayed in Russia five more years, kept traveling, living in different countries, until I finally moved to the U.S. and committed to building a life here with my kids.

On June 17th, I’ll celebrate 10 years in America.

I have so many stories to tell as an immigrant—but the most important thing is this:

Be thankful.

For every chance. For every achievement.

Because we weren’t just lucky—we took the leap.

🇺🇸 U.S.-Made, Data-Backed, Ready to Launch

Here’s what’s happening right now:

we’re seeing a major shift toward U.S.-manufactured health products, especially those that aren’t built around worn-out ingredients like ashwagandha or vitamin C.

The market is tired of trends.

What works now are products built around actual ingridient demand—ones you can offer in logical formats like 1, 3, or 6-month supplies, or bundled smartly to increase AOV.

That’s exactly what we’re doing with a select group of sellers.

Each person is getting two product concepts fully mapped out, with a dedicated project manager and a private strategy call.

It’s designed for execution, not inspiration.

We’ve only got two spots left before this offer closes.

No fluff, just real products—built for this market, right now.

💥 If I Had to Start From Scratch on Amazon Today…

If I had to start my Amazon business all over again today, I’d focus on just two types of products.

First—products that are influencer-ready.

If I can build hype before launch and get people talking about it on TikTok or Instagram, that’s half the battle won.

Second—products that new sellers can’t find or can’t succeed with.

Why?

Because most new sellers don’t have the tools, experience, or perspective to validate ideas properly. They chase obvious stuff, and that’s where they lose.

The hidden gems are in the blind spots.

If you're serious about finding those gems, here are 3 prompts to plug into ChatGPT or your favorite AI tool to uncover overlooked niches.

Just remember to include your desired retail price and revenue goals—otherwise, you're guessing like everyone else.

💡 Prompt 1:

"Suggest 3 product niches in the [insert category] that are currently underserved on Amazon. These products should not be trending on TikTok or top-ranked on Helium10, but should have steady monthly demand. My target retail price is $[X] and I want to generate at least $[X] in monthly revenue."

🕵️ Prompt 2:

"Find 3 products in the U.S. market that consumers are actively searching for but that have fewer than 100 competing ASINs on Amazon. My target price is $[X], aiming for $[X] in revenue. The goal is to identify white-space opportunities."

📈 Prompt 3:

"Give me 3 Amazon product ideas that can be launched with micro-influencers (under 50k followers), are easy to demonstrate in video content, and are not part of saturated niches. Desired retail price: $[X]. Target monthly revenue: $[X]. Bonus points if they’re lightweight and under 2 lbs."

“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.”
Stephen R. Covey

💀 Dead on Arrival: Products That Are Beyond Saturated

Some products are just done.

Everyone and their cousin already tried to launch them. No matter how nice your packaging is, the market doesn’t care because it’s drowning in options.

These are the products that scream “newbie seller” to experienced shoppers—and Amazon’s algorithm isn’t kind to saturated listings.

If you want a fast track to frustration, pick from this list.

But if you're smart (and you are), use this as a warning sign.

10 Overrated Products to Never Launch on Amazon:

Ashwagandha Gummies – It had its moment. Now the competition is brutal, and prices are crashing.

Vitamin C Serum – Unless your formula was created by a Nobel Prize winner, don’t even think about it.

Resistance Bands – Every gym rat, fitness coach, and drop shipper has already launched these.

Reusable Cotton Rounds – Margins are trash, and everyone is giving them away on TikTok.

Pet Hair Removers – Every variation has been done, copied, and price-slashed to death.

Water Bottles with Time Markers – They’re cute. They’re cheap. And they’re on every shelf at TJ Maxx.

Baby Milestone Blankets – Oversaturated, low repeat purchase rate, and buyers already know the top brands.

Beard Growth Oil – Buyer trust is everything here, and they trust the ones already ranking.

LED Strip Lights – TikTok made them famous. Now Amazon made them irrelevant.

Phone Tripods – An avalanche of cheap, generic versions killed this niche.

🍔 Highway to Grill: The Product You Won’t Believe Exists

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the internet delivers a gem like this:

The Exhaust Burger.

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like—a stainless steel burger cooker that attaches to your car’s exhaust pipe and uses the heat from your drive to grill your lunch.

Designed by a group of creatives for the “Dining in 2015” competition, this invention is sealed to prevent any toxic fumes from getting into your food (thankfully).

Honestly, it’s one of those “you have to see it to believe it” moments in product design.

You can check it out here: Exhaust Burger on Designboom.

It's like someone looked at a road trip and thought,

“Yeah, but what if we made it delicious?”

🚀 Two Spots. One Decision. Big Outcome.

If you made it all the way here—first of all, you're my kind of person.

And second, don’t forget: we’ve got only two US-based product slots left… maybe even less by the time you click.

This isn’t some vague idea—it’s a real build, based on data, demand, and done-for-you support.

You could be heading into Q4 with a six-figure launch in motion.
