🐎 When Champions Sell Their Horses for Pumpkin Seeds

Some people see a mountain and climb it.

Others see a molehill and dig a hole.

I'm hunting for lesson horses (my latest expensive hobby), and I roll up to this competitor's barn. They've got a solid pony that could easily pull $7-8K.

Clean papers, good training, the works.

My price? $2,500.

Why the fire sale? Are they hurting for cash? Medical emergency? Barn foreclosure?

Nope.

They're liquidating assets to flip pumpkins.

I'm standing there watching someone trade a Rolex for a handful of magic beans, except the beans are orange and they rot in three months.

This isn't "thinking outside the box"—this is thinking outside reality. You don't downgrade from horse trading to squash hustling. That's not pivoting, that's face-planting.

Real entrepreneurs double down when things get tough.

They find a way to make that horse earn $10K, not dump it for pumpkin change.

While they're out there playing farmer's market roulette, I'm walking away with their quality horse for pennies on the dollar.

When everyone else is zigging into seasonal nonsense, you zag into real opportunity.

Their pumpkin dreams just became my horse reality. Sometimes the best business move is watching other people make terrible ones.

🎃➡️🐎 Their loss, my win.

🚀 Your PPC Is Exposing Your Listing

A lot of sellers think ads are doing the heavy lifting, but let’s be real—your PPC is only as strong as your listing.

Every click you pay for walks right into your product detail page, and if what shoppers saw in search doesn’t match what’s on your listing, congratulations—you’re burning money.

We worked on an account where the search term “swivel seat” was tanking.

CTR was low, CVR was meh. So we scrapped the “pretty” image and dropped in an uglier one—big 360° arrow, bold word SWIVELS. Guess what?

CTR doubled, CVR jumped, and ACoS dropped from 34% to 22%.

The data couldn’t be clearer: low CTR = image/message mismatch, low CVR = offer mismatch.

Fix those, and your PPC starts feeding you cheaper clicks and better rank.

🌿 Positioning Beats Ingredients

Most Amazon sellers think they’re selling a product.

You’re not selling ashwagandha—you’re selling a position.

Because on the surface, it’s the same root powder in every capsule. But positioning is where the money is made:

  • One seller markets it as “just ashwagandha” → $8 price tag

  • Another goes with “stress relief & relaxation” → $19

  • A third frames it as “hormone balance & women’s health” → $27

  • And another flips it into “performance & endurance for athletes” → $33+

Same ingredient. Same capsule. Totally different customers, totally different margins.

Research shows buyers will pay up to 11x more when you frame a product around an identity or transformation rather than the raw ingredient. That’s why some sellers drown in price wars… while others build brands that print profit.

👉 Next week, I’m hosting a live webinar where I’ll show you:

  • How to position products inside sub-niches where competition disappears

  • Real examples of sellers who turned commodity supplements into premium offers

  • The strategies I use to create products people want, not just products that exist

Early bird registration is open right now (yep, free).

If you’ve ever wondered why two identical bottles of ashwagandha can live in completely different price universes… this session will spell it out for you.

🤖 Amazon’s New AI Makes Product Research Almost Too Easy

Okay, this is wild. Amazon just rolled out an AI feature inside Product Opportunity Explorer that basically does all the thinking for you.

Remember the days of staring at spreadsheets until your eyeballs wanted to quit? Charts, numbers, graphs—and you still had no clue what it actually meant for your business?

Yeah, that’s over.

Now Amazon’s AI just tells you.

In plain English.

Take Ashwagandha for Kids as an example: instead of drowning in data, you get a breakdown that actually makes sense.

It’ll tell you straight up the niche is growing, peak buying season is September through November, which brands are dominating, and—this is the fun part—where the opportunities are hiding. It’s like having a nerdy best friend whispering the answers in your ear.

Is it perfect?

No.

AI—we all know it hallucinates sometimes.

But for sellers who aren’t data scientists (or for the days when your brain is fried and one more pivot table might kill you), this is insanely useful.

And the kicker? If you’re still confused, you can copy-paste Amazon’s AI interpretation right into ChatGPT and get it explained even simpler—or even read out loud to you.

Bottom line:

Amazon just turned painful market analysis into something a 10-year-old could understand.

That’s pretty damn impressive.

But being successful is also hard.

Choose your hard."
